Fri-Jado launched a new range of Modular Convenience Counters

At EuroShop Fri-Jado launched a new range of Modular Convenience Counters designed for the rapidly growing food-to-go sector. Introduction of the new range follows extensive research and the adoption of ground-breaking technology to reducing wastage and energy usage and boost impulse sales.

The counters have been designed ‘making food irresistible’ with an innovative shelf design that increases the visibility of merchandise and promoting impulse purchases. The counters really put your food in the spotlight; maximum transparency provides an unobstructed view, due to extra slim design and increased shelf space. Modules may be supplied as chilled, hot or drop-in units, which are easily multiplexed to form in-line counter configurations for cross merchandising. Double glazed side panes provide excellent insulation and prevent heat transfer between each counter.

Patented OmniCold low velocity air flow
The chilled counters feature the company’s unique and patent pending OmniCold refrigeration system, which works by blanketing the food on display from all sides. The aim is to deliver accurate holding temperatures (3M1 classification*), reduced energy consumption, and the maintenance of optimum food quality and safety over extended periods. They have been designed to operate with the eco-friendly R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant with low global warming potential (3GWP). The maximum flexibility of the cold counters is 90, 120 or 150 cm wide.

*A classification of 3M1 means the counter was tested at Climate Class 3 (25°C – 60%RH) and complies with the Product Class M1 (product remains between -1°C and +5°C for duration of the test)

Patented hot blanket holding system
Hot versions of the Modular Counters benefit from Fri-Jado’s patented hot blanket holding system, air curtain technology and hot air recycling per shelf, which deliver energy savings of some 20%. Stable temperatures, ≥ 65℃, combined with precise humidity control (full-serve), ensure that food is maintained at perfect quality and appearance, reducing the amount of food that may be thrown away, due to product deterioration. The hot self-serve is available in 60, 90 and 120 cm wide

99% Recyclable
The high build quality and durable components used in the construction of the counters ensure that they have a longer operational life than competitive models. When the products reach their end-of-life cycle, they are 99% recyclable.
