Rotisserie cooking – Easter recipe
There is so much more you can do with a rotisserie than roasting chicken. Fri-Jado Chef Karsten Huyghe used some left-overs to prepare this delicious and easy-to-prepare Easter recipe!
Kaiser rolls with ham, cheese and egg
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- 5 kaiser (or crusty) rolls
- 150 g ham
- 150 g cheese
- 5 eggs
- 60 g butter
- salt, pepper and some fresh chives
Preparation
Preheat the rotisserie at 150°C.
Lightly wet the kaiser rolls on the outside.
Remove the top from the roll but make sure it remains whole.
Remove the soft breading from inside the roll, giving you a sort of bowl.
Put a knob of butter in this and finish with salt and pepper.
Place a few slices of ham and cheese inside the bun and finish off with a raw egg.
Place the rolls in your TDR basket.
Place the baskets into the rotisserie.
Cook for 20 minutes at 160°C. Then another 7 minutes at 180°C.
You can add some diced tomatoes if you like – Finish it off by sprinkling some fresh chives.
